The baby of the family he exuded a personality larger than life. Growing up in Houston he left Milby High School to serve his county during WWII serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Charles Carroll at the Battle of Okinawa.
He returned from WWII graduated from Milby H.S., where he was a stand out as a basketball player. After high school he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and spent his early career at Sinclair Oil Company and the greater part of his life as a Physicans Assistant and Lab Tech, managing the lab at Pasadena General Hospital for many years, and also a private lab for a team of doctors in Pasadena until his health forced him to retire. He died peacefully at his beach home in Galveston, Texas after a long illness.
