[Obit] George W. Miller was born in Johnson Co.,MO. May 20,1844 and died at his home in Myrtle Point, Coos Co.,Oregon, Jan.30,1917, age 72 years 8 months and 10 days. In 1869 he was married to Mrs. Lucy A. Miller (nee Taylor) in Henry Co.,MO. To this union was born 5 sons, all of whom survive their father. Mr. Miller and family came to Oregon July 14,1875, landing in Curry County where they resided about 30 years, moved first to Marion Co., later to Douglas Co., and about 7 years ago to Myrtle Point. Mr. Miller leaves a widow and 5 sons: William R.; John W.; James M.; and Frank D. and 16 grandchildren. Buried at Norway Cemetery. [MPE-2/1/1917]
