Dolores Virginia Heap, 80, of Twin Falls, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the Twin Falls Care Center.

She was born Dec. 14, 1930, at Glenns Ferry, Idaho, the daughter of Jesse E. and Edith A. Collison Slade. She was raised and educated in Glenns Ferry until 1947, when she was in an auto accident which resulted in Dolores being a paraplegic. While recovering at Shriner's Hospital in Salt Lake City, she met Charles Heap. They married on Jan. 1, 1964, at the Costa Mesa LDS Temple. Later they returned to Emmett, Idaho. Following Charles's death, Dolores moved to Twin Falls. In 2000, she moved to the Twin Falls Care Center, where she has since resided.

Dolores was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was loved by all who knew her. She always had a smile on her face.

Dolores is survived by her brother, Leon Slade of Gig Harbor, Wash.; three sisters, Joann (Bud) Henson of Emmett, Patricia Anderson of Two Rivers, Wis., and Sue (Ed) Skinner of Twin Falls; a brother-in-law, Ray Jacobs of Twin Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and a brother.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at the Emmett Cemetery in Emmett.
