Peter Field was, I think, a son of Joseph Field (c.1731-1780) and his wife Lydia Julian (c.1744-1819). His paternal grandparents were William and Jane Field; and his paternal grandfather was Peter Julian.

Peter married Charlotte Vickery around 1788. She was a daughter of Rev. Christopher Vickery and his wife Hannah Hodge. Peter and Charlotte had nine children: Hannah, Christopher, Jeremiah, Absalom, Lydia, Ruhama, Charlotte, Jereta, Mary "Polly" Field.

Peter wrote his will on 19 Nov. 1809, and it was probated in the August, 1816 court. I assume he died sometime in the summer of 1816.

Peter and Charlotte are probably buried at the Timber Ridge Methodist Church, where her father was minister, but I am not certain of this.

Many thanks to Wayne Love who created this memorial and kindly transferred it to me.
