Gerald William Brady, of Dixon, was born in St Louis, on June 20, 1946, a son of William Joseph, Sr. and Rosemarie Martha(Blank) Brady who preceded him in death. Mr. Brady departed this life on Saturday August 22, 2009, at his residence near Dixon. He had attended the age of 63 years, 2 months, and 2 days.
Mr. Brady was a United States Navy veteran and had worked for United Airlines for 30 plus years, retiring in 2002. He was a volunteer fireman for the Dixon Rural Fire Department and had served as Captain for the fire department. He enjoyed farming and working in his yard.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Brady include two daughters, Wendy Brady of Thornton, Colorado, and Jennifer Brady-Hill of Grand Junction, Colorado; three brothers, Fred Brady and William Joseph Brady, both of Dixon and James Brady of Aurora, Colorado; one sister, Patricia Broadway of Paris, Texas; two grandchildren, Emerson Taylor Hill and Evyn William Hill, both of Grand Junction, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be conducted for Mr. Brady at 6:00pm, Friday, August 25, 2009, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin, Funeral Home. Burial is set at a later date.
Officiating: Brother Charles Worstell, Mt. Zion Christian Church, Tuscumbia, Missouri
