Funeral services for Monda Kay Alexander, age 65, will be held Monday, May 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. from the Campbell Street Church of Christ. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Bradford, TN, with a committal service at 12:30 p.m. Monda Kay was born at home near Bradford, TN on October 22, 1945 and died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her residence in Jackson, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Willie Grace Alexander; her Alexander and her Parker grandparents; brother, Scotty Ray Alexander; nephew, Carl Nathan Alexander. She leaves brothers, Bobby Jack, Curtis Carl and Andrew Parker (Suzanne) Alexander; sister-in-law, Valerie Matejowsky; nephew, Mark Alexander; nieces, Tina Wheeler and Tammy Gordon; great nieces, Morgan Alexander, Bentley and Bailey Gordon; great nephews, Zachary and Ian Alexander; aunt, Pearlie B. Adams; uncle, Jewell Parker. Monda earned degrees from Freed-Hardeman University, Abilene Christian University and UT Martin. Monda retired after an interesting, fulfilling career that included working in junior high through colleges in five states as a teacher or a school/career counselor, plus 12 successful years in computer sales and corporate IT support. Monda praised GOD for how His blessings enabled her to have a bountiful life, full of family and friends, honorable work, and many experiences among diverse people in diverse places within God's awesome creation. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! The family has requested donations in Monda's name may be made to the Campbell Street Church of Christ Caregivers Fund, 1490 Campbell Street, Jackson, TN 38305. Those serving as Pallbearers will be David Baker, Ralph Johnson, Jeremy Roberson, Michael Herron, Gary Hall and Frank McMeen.
