Bound To Die. - John Walls and his brother Robert, who live near McKinney, got on a drunken spree the other night and while in that condition fell to fighting. Robert got John down and was pounding him severely when he (John) drew his knife and succeeded in driving it to the hilt between the shoulder blades, penetrating the back bone and causing paralysis. John is under arrest and seems to be very sorry for his act, though he says he has not the slightest recollection of it. The Doctors say that Robert can not live.
Later. - John was tried before Esquire Carson yesterday and acquitted, as there were no witnesses to the act or any proof to show the cutting was not an accident.

Family members said he was buried at Eason Cemetery and since there isn't a tombstone it can't be verified. The only marker he had was a rock that family members used to identify his grave. All family members are deceased now.
