Junior L. Crites
Junior Lee Crites, 86, a resident of 212 Chestnut St., Philippi, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 8, 2002, in the Grafton City Hospital.
He was born May 11, 1916, at Philippi, a son of the late Hiram and Eva Harvey Crites.
He was united in marriage on May 25, 1940, to the former Helen Tinney, who preceded him in death on Dec. 30, 1981.
Surviving are two daughters, Dianne Lee Crites and Eunice Dillon, both of Cleveland, Ohio; two sons, Jimmy Lee Crites, Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Terry Jo Crites, Vineland, N.J.; one sister, Maude Bolton, Lynchburg, Va.; seven grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and one grandchild.
Mr. Crites was a retired painter having been employed by Farhill Mental Health Center. He attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church and faithfully attended the Tuesday morning worship service at Baughman Towers.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, after 11 a.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
