Alan G. DeBarr
Alan Grim "Slats" DeBarr, 62, of 7 Pringle Tree Road, Buckhannon, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at 1:58 p.m. in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Freeman and Alma Grim DeBarr.

On March 12, 1961, he married Joyce A. Liggett DeBarr, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Doug DeBarr and wife, Martina, Fairfax, Va., and David DeBarr and wife, Charlene, Buckhannon; one brother, Victor DeBarr, Buckhannon; two grandsons, Christopher DeBarr and Joseph DeBarr, both of Buckhannon; and two granddaughters, Danielle DeBarr and Missy DeBarr, both of Fairfax, Va.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Freeman Lin DeBarr.
Mr. DeBarr was a letter carried for the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of the Buckhannon Fire Board and attended Christian Fellowship.

Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating.

Interment will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
