ANDOVER - Guy L. Akers, Sr., 62, died Saturday [July 10, 1954] at Weston, Mass. He was a former resident of Andover.

He was born at Andover Feb. 19, 1892, the son of Lewis C. and Anne Akers. He was employed as an estate caretaker for many years.

He is survived by his widow, the former Lucetta Howard, Weston, Mass., a daughter, Mrs. Jack Williams, Weston, Mass., two sons, Guy Jr. of Marlboro, Mass., and Robert P., National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md., four brothers, Webster of Coburn Gore, John of Weston, Mass., George of Andover, and Victor of Pittsfield, two sisters, Mrs. Erlon Merrill of Weston, Mass., and Mrs. Paul Head of West Bethel, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral at 2 P.M. Monday, July 12 at the Baptist Church in Weston, Mass. Committal services at the Woodlawn cemetery, Andover, Me., at 5:30 P.M. Tuesday July with Rev. Easter Peters officiating.
