Register Champion 12-27-1918, pg 4:
Mary May House Keeney was born March 13, 1886, at Belvidere, Nebraska and died at her home in St. Paul, Neb., December 20th, 1918. She was married November 24, 1909, to Wm. W. Keeney. Her girlhood days were spent on the House farm near Belvidere and after her marriage they lived at various places in Nebraska, going to St. Paul five years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and four small children, Violet, Fay, Loren and Dale, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. House, four brothers and seven sisters, besides other more distant relatives and a host of friends. Her first born died in infancy so has preceded her into the great beyond.
She became a Christian early in life and has made it her earnest effort to live in keeping with the Savior's teachings. The end came after a few days illness due to complications following influenza.
After a brief service at the parental home in Belvidere, the funeral was held from the Christian Church conducted by D. L. Hughes, the pastor, assisted by Rev. F. H. Urwin the local Methodist minister. The music was rendered by Mrs. Geo. Orth and Mrs. Guy Morris. The body was laid to rest in the Belvidere Cemetery.
