Charles was the son of William Thomas Murrell and Mary Amelia Askins of Laclede Co., MO. He was married on 8 Nov 1905 to Demaral Mordelia Pruitt in Texarkana, Texas. Charles was living in Lawrence Co., MO and Demaral in Laclede Co., MO when they married. Their first child was born in Mt. Vernon, the county seat of Lawrence Co. From Mt. Vernon, MO they moved to Amarillo, Texas about 1908 or 1909. Here their second child was born in 1910. About 1912 the family moved to Corpus Christy, Texas where they lived for four years. In 1916 they moved to Tulsa where they lived the rest of their lives. Charles died in Tulsa in 1943 and his wife died there in 1945. Both are buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in southeast Tulsa.
