Edith Forney Cocke, age 86, of Quebeck, passed away May 24, 2011, at Life Care Center of Sparta.
Mrs. Cocke was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Maryland, to John R. and Cathrine Dixon Forney.
She was a retired secretary for United States Department of Agriculture.
Mrs. Cocke was preceded in death by her husband, Claude J. Cocke Sr.; son, C.J. Cocke Jr.; and brothers, Phil and Albee Forney.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Carmilla Cocke, of Quebeck; grandsons, Jacob Cocke, of Quebeck, Jordan Cocke and wife Tisha, of Quebeck; great-granddaughter, Addy Belle Cocke; sister, Dorothy Cowfer, of Maryland; brother, Vic Forney, of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was graveside at 1p.m., May 27, 2011, at Mimosa Cemetery, in Lawrenceburg.
