PATRICIA "TRISH" WRIGHT: After a brief illness, Trish Wright passed peacefully from this world on Thursday, February 13, 2003, in Memphis, TN. Trish was an active member of The African Violet Society of America (AVSA), The Lone Star African Violet Council (LSAVC) and the Spring Branch African Violet Club (Houston) and a past member of the Central Texas Judges Council, the African Violet Study Club (Houston) and the Houston Gesneriad Society. She was a Master Judge as certified by the African Violet Society of America.
She had won numerous awards in both horticulture and design divisions and was well-known for her skills in writing show themes and design titles. Trish was always ready to help new growers and provided tips and encouragement. She was greatly missed at the last Spring Branch AV Show and her influence was felt by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wright and is survived by a son.
