He was born June 28, 1907 in Ellenburg, N.Y., the son of George and Mary (Partlow) Drew and had been a Newport resident for the past 42 years.
Mr. Drew was a former employee of a Newport shoe company.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Foresters of America.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillian (Trombley) Drew, Newport; a daughter, Mrs. Leland McGray, Newport, three grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Drew, Northampton, Mass., and Ralph Baxter, Newport, three sisters, Mrs. Alice Champagne, Swanton, Vt., Mrs. Alma Gaudreau, Adams Village, Que., Canada, and Mrs. Millie Poirer, Dover, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services took place Oct. 7 at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Reynolds, pastor of the Church of the Good Shepard, officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport.
