On August 3 1918, Emory was killed by train near Winton Rd in Rochester, Monroe, New York.

Emory Eugene Burton seemed to have gone back and forth in his latter years between Michigan and New York. In 1907 he worked as a clerk at 250 Main St., Lived at 18 Swan St. In 1916 lived with his son Byron at 812 Blossom Rd.

On August 3 1918, Emory was killed by train near Winton Rd in Rochester, Monroe, New York.
