Mr. Rosco Dixon, born in Barren Fork, Harrison, Arkansas, and a resident of Sanger, CA for 67 years, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011, at the age of 92. He was a self employed mechanic for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Leslie Dixon and Lydia Luella (Shrum) Dixon, 3 sisters, Grace Leggitt, Eunice Bogdanoff and Estella Wood, and 1 brother, Eugene Dixon, and his wife of 61 years, Verdie (Roberts) Dixon.

They were married Feb 5, 1942 and left Harrison, Arkansas June 10, 1953 and moved the family to Sanger, California.
They made trips to Arkansas yearly to visit family.

Left to cherish Mr. Dixon's memory is his son Larry Dixon of Shaver Lake; daughters Wanda Horton of Montana, Vonda Gee of Sanger, and Judy Young of Stockton; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

There will be visitation at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A chapel service will follow at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Remembrances may be made to Calvary Fellowship, P.O. Box 957 Sanger, CA.

His final resting place will be in the Sanger Cemetery, next to his beloved wife Verdie Dixon.
