CAREY THOMAS HAKE, age 76 of Eaton, Ohio died Monday, September 23, 2002 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on August 3, 1926 in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Fred William & Flora Christine (Rodler) Hake. Carey was a Partner with Hake Brothers Construction, a WW II U.S. Army veteran and a U.S. Air Force Korean Conflict veteran. He was the Secretary of the Preble County Veteran's Commission, member of V.F.W. Post #8066 and American Legion Post #215, both of Eaton, Eagles Lodge Aerie #2177 of Greenville, Ohio and Knights of Columbus Council No. 3698 of Eaton, Ohio, LaSocieìteìDes 40 Hommes Et 8 Chevauk (Voiture Local # 546) and the 82nd Airborne Division Association and Visitation Catholic Church of Eaton. Preceded in death by Sister & Brother-In-Law: Audrey & Floyd Watron. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2002 - 10:00 A.M. (Ohio Time) at Visitation Catholic Church - 407 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton, Ohio with full military graveside services by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 from 5 - 8 P.M. (Ohio Time) at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with a Rosary Service at 8:00 P.M.
