Norma Richardson Hicks, 74, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at Madison County Nursing Home in Canton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thurs, June 2, at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with burial following in Natchez Trace Memorial Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm Wed, June 1.

Norma was born March 30, 1937, in Magee and lived in Canton for the majority of her life. She was a member of Center Terrace Church. She was employed by the telephone company in Canton for several years. She was also a former hairdresser in Canton. Norma dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her passion in life was children.

She is survived by her mother, Thelma C. Richardson; son, Carl J. Hicks, Jr.; brother, S.C. Richardson, Jr.(Eldean); sister, Debbie Brewer (Dawson); grandchildren, Stephanie Mistich, Stacey Hicks Thrasher, Maggie Hicks, Carly Hicks; great grandchildren, Charlie, Chase, & Sherry Mistich, Brendan Thrasher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Norma in death are her father, S.C. Richardson, Sr.; sister, Sandra Norton; brother, Truett Richardson; and her daughter, Sharon Williams.
