Folk-Rock Singer and father of the late singer, Jeff Buckley. Considered to be one of the great rock vocalists of the 1960s. In the mid-1960s, Buckley took on Herbie Cohen as his manager after Cohen heard some of his demos. Cohen got him a deal on the Elektra Record Label. He also recorded with Rhino/Bizarre, Manifesto and Asylum Record Labels. By 1966 he had released his debut album, when he was only 19. Buckley worked with such music greats as, Paul Simon, Frank Zappa, Leonard Cohen, Dan Fogelberg, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, John Prine, James Taylor and Laura Nyro. Among Buckley's many recordings are "I Can't See You," "Wings," "Song Of The Magician," "Strange Street Affair Under Blue," "Valentine Melody," "Aren't You The Girl," "Song Slowly Song," "It Happens Every Time," "Song For Janie," "Grief In My Soul," "She Is," and "Understand Your Man."
