Houston Chronicle, November 19, 2001:

Funeral services for Albert Earl Allen, age 86, of Pearland, Texas, will be held at Heights Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 19, 2001. Officiant will be Rev. Gene Vickery. Interment will be in the Hollywood Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Mr. Allen passed away on November 16, 2001 in a health care facility in Pearland, Texas. There will be a visitation for Mr. Allen Sunday, November 18, 2001, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Heights Funeral Home.

Mr. Allen was a native of Ennis, Texas but lived for the past forty years in Pearland, Texas. He served with the United States Marine Corp during World War II and served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a pressman for the Century Paper Company from which he retired. He was Baptist by faith.

He is survived by sisters, Dorothy O'Rourke of Houston, Texas, Lucille Wilhite of Lewisville, Texas, and brothers, Clyde "O.C." Allen of Broadus, Texas and Floyd Samuel Allen, Jr., of Longview, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Allen.
