Clarence L. Wallace, 64, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011, at his residence. He was a 1964 graduate of Howard High School. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Warrant Officer and also retired from Boyd-Buchanan School.
He was a faithful member and served as an elder at Ridgedale Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Wallace; son, David Wallace; and great-grandchildren, Kianna Caldwell and Judah Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Wallace; son, John Steve Wallace, of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Yolanda Johnson, of Chattanooga, TN and Katherlene (Frank) Covington, of Charleston, SC; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; mother, Emma Wallace; brother, Freddie Wallace; sister, Katherine (Gill) Shropshire, all of Chattanooga, TN; uncle, Bob Mack Whitman; aunts, Rosa Lee (Charles) Battle, Peggy Ann (Shelby) Petty all of Alabama and Jessie Bough of Nashville, TN; mother-in-law, Essie Banks of Chattanooga, TN; several nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation: today from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Ridgedale Church of Christ with Brother Ken Willis officiating.
Burial: Monday at 12:30 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
