HEART ATTACK FATAL TO
MRS. FRED ROHLFING
WIDELY KNOWN LOCAL WOMAN PASSES AWAY
SUDDENLY WHILE VISITING RELATIVES
Friends and relatives in Streator and the surrounding countryside were shocked today to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. Fred Rohlfing, local resident, who was discovered dead in bed early this morning in the home of relatives Mr. and Mrs. Winfield Huey of Wnydnere, North Dakota.
Her sudden demise will be learned of with mingled shock and sorrow here where she had resided the past eight years. Mrs. Rohlfing had appeared in good health when she left Streator last Sunday for a two weeks' visit with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Huey.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will appear in tomorrow's issue of the Times-Press. It is believed, however, Mr. and Mrs. Hey will accompany the body here and will arrive some time Wednesday evening.
Gertrude Woodward was born October 1, 1885, to Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Woodward, in Grand Ridge. She resided in that vicinity with her parents several years and then moved to Manville, where she had lived until eight years ago, when she came to Streator.
She was united in marriage to Fred Rohlfing, June 22, 1904, in Ottawa. To that union was born five children, two of whom died in infancy.
Following are those who survived along with her husband and father, J.R. Woodward, who resides north of Streator, Russell and Kenneth of Streator and Glen of Chicago.
The following sisters and brothers also are left to mourn her passing: Blaine Woodward, Streator; Glenn Woodward, Ottawa; Mrs. Charles Dulian, Streator; Mrs. Ralph Hampson, Grand Ridge; Cecil Woodward, Ralph Woodward, Ottawa; Mrs. Lawrence Poundstone, Francesville, Ind.; Harry Woodward, God Center, Minnesota; Thad Woodward, Streator; and Mrs. Harry Cook of Red Cloud, Minn.
Mrs. Rohlfing was active in church and civic circles here and a devout member of the Methodist church.

ROHLFING RITES TO BE CONDUCTED SATURDAY AT 2:30
Word has been received from Wyndmere, N.D., that the body of Mrs. Fred Rohlfing is to arrive here Friday at noon and will be taken to the home of her son, R. W. Rohlfing, 610 South Park street. There it will lie in state until Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, when it will be taken to the M.E. church in Grand Ridge. Services will be conducted there at 2:30 o'clock, and interment will take place in the family lot in Grand Ridge cemetery.
News of the sudden death of Mrs. Rohlfing which occurred in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Winfield Huey, uncle and aunt of the decease, Tuesday morning caused surprise and regret among her many friends here. Although enjoying the best of health, no indication of the impending fate was anticipated by her relative, when she left here Sunday morning for a visit with relative in the northwest. Accompanying her on the trip were her aunt, Mrs. Daisy Thorne and son Martin, who came here from their home in Gaston, Ind. Mrs. Thorne and son had planned
an extended stay among relatives in Minnesota and North Dakota, and it is therefore thought, will not return with the body of Mrs. Rohlfing.
