James H. Reed, 87, of 210 Oak Street, Vanport, died today, Feb. 3, 1966, in Rochester General Hospital, following a short illness.
Born in Potter Township, Jan. 15, 1879, he had resided in Vanport 55 years.
Mr. Reed was a retired government employee, working on the Merril Dam, formerly in Vanport.
He was a member of the Vanport Presbyterian Church.
His wife, the late Nettie B. Reed, preceded him in death in 1965.
Surviving are a son, Robert J., Vanport; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Martha Reed) Bumiller, Vanport; and three grandchildren.
Friends will be received today after 7:30 p.m. in the J.R. Todd Funeral Home, Beaver, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. with his pastor, Rev. William Bell, in charge. Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery.
