Roger Duane Cross, 69, Carthage, MO passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, MO. Roger Duane Cross was born Nov. 6, 1940 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Eugene Cross and Margret (Miller) Cross. He attended public schools in Hopkinton, Iowa, was a graduate of Hopkinton High School, Class of 1958 and attended Iowa State University studying Dairy Industry. He married Catherine A. Craig on March 5, 1960, she survives. Roger worked for Safeway Cheese, Carthage, before retiring. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, a collector of Indian artifacts and instilled a love of the outdoors in his daughter, son and grandsons. Additional survivors include; a son, Jeff (Sonia) Cross, Kimberling City, MO; a daughter, Sharon Cross, Carthage, MO; a sister, Pamela (Paul) Federinko, Branson, MO; a brother-in-law, Robert (Becky) Durst, Rapid City, South Dakota, two grandsons, Seth Cross and Adam Cross; five nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Wedneday, September 22, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, followed by a memorial mass at 11 AM, with Fr. Bill Hodgson officiating.
