Alice A. Simmons
Hastings resident, Alice A. Simmons, 91, died Friday, Sept 14, 2007 at Good Samaritan Village Perkins Pavilion in Hastings.
Services are 2 p. m. Tuesday September 18, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Hastings with the Rev. Larry Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today at Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hastings, and one hour prior to Service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to www.brandwilson.com.
Mrs. Simmons was born November 19, 1915, to Fred and Margaret (Atwater) Dinnell in Superior, Neb. The family moved to McCook briefly and then they moved to Hastings, Neb., where she graduated from Hastings High School. She married Merle Elmer Simmons on Sept. 1, 1934. He passed away April 19, 1976. She was employed at the Hastings Regional Center for 31 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survivied by grandchilren and spouses, Brian and Tammy Consbruck of Juniata, Neb., Brent and Liza Consbruck of Anchorage, Alaska, Cindy Consbruck of Lincoln, Neb., Pam Consbruck of Dearfield Beach, Fla., Julie Walker of Kearney, Neb., Debra and Mark Roskilly of Haysville, Kan., Eric Simmons of Portland, Ore., and Lori Gustafson of Hastings, Neb.; brothers and spouses, Robert and Joyce Dinnell and Louis and Erma Dinnell all of Hastings, Neb.
She was perceded in death by her husband, Merle, one son Charles Simmons; one daughter, Alice May Consbruck; son-in-law, Leo Consbruck; two brothers, Paul Dinnell and infant brother Kenneth; and two sisters, Margaret Gustafson and Annabelle LeBar.
