This community was saddened by the death of one of the oldest citizens, Mrs. Ella Harris. Mrs. Harris, 92, died in a Gatesville rest home. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon with burial in the Live Oak Cemetery. Mrs. Harris survived by one daughter, Mrs. Estelle Rubarth. She had many friends. (GM 23 Mar 1972)
