Ken was born Sept. 17, 1938, in Springfield, the son of James and Thelma Adams. He married Marilyn Sue Brandhorst on Jan. 1, 1966, in Franklin County. They enjoyed 43 wonderful years of married life together.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Irvin Adams; and special grandmother, Gladys "Granny" McMurray, who helped raise him.
Ken was a graduate of Lanphier High School. He retired from the state of Illinois in 1998 and truly enjoyed his retirement. Ken was always busy with his hobby of building and refinishing antique furniture. He was an antique dealer at Lisa's I Antique Mall. Ken and Sue went to many auctions and garage sales together. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
Ken is survived by his wife, Sue, of Pleasant Plains and several nieces, nephews and cousins, who will remember him best by his storytelling and his undivided attention given to small children.
Private family services have been held.
