Mrs. W. E. Carter
HARTSELLE - Mrs. W. E. Carter, 72, Danville 1, died Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at her residence.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Mt. Vernon Methodist Church, with the Rev. Isaac Eddy officiating.
Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include the husband, W. E. Carter, Danville 1; three daughters,
Mrs. Lillie Popee, Danville 1; Mrs. Wilda Willingham, Vinemont 3; Mrs. Marie Hampton, Ypsilanti, Mich.; three sons, Ernest Carter, Hartselle; R. O. Carter, Decatur; Kermit Carter, Pascagoula, Miss.; 29 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Flossie Freeman, Vinemont 3; one brother, Asa Turrentine, Tarrant City.
Mrs. Carter was a member of the Oak Ridge Church of God.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Neal Pope, Billy Neal Pope, Jerry Carter, Steven Carter, Toney Hampton, and Larry Hampton.
The body will remain at the residence until time to be taken to the church for services.
