John Walter Allen Jr.,82, was a native of LaGrange,Heard County,GA,and a resident of Riceville,McMinn County,TN,for 48 years. He was the son of the late John Walter Allen Sr. and Nancy Amanda Kirby-Allen. He is preceded in death by one daughter,Nancy Louise Allen. He retired from Bowater Paper Co. after 32 years of service.He was a World War II veteran having served the Pacific Fleet on the USS Matthews in the US Navy.He was also a member of the Royal Arch and Cryptic Masons and Alahambra Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife of 49 years,Willie Marie Farnell- Allen,his daughther Melanie Allen-Goins, his two sons Michael Allen and Christopher Allen,his son-in -law,two daughter-in-laws,seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren,and several nieces and nephews.He will be greatly missed.
