Fort Bend Herald, July 7, 2006:

Funeral Mass for Adolph S. Macha, 73, of Needville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. James Ramsey will officiate the services.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. There will be visitation from 9 a.m. until service time at St. Michael's Catholic Church Saturday, July 8, 2006.

Adolph was born Oct. 3, 1932 in Wallis to Anton and Louise (Schodek) Macha. He passed away July 4, 2006 in Richmond.

He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church where he served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Adolph was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, belonged to American Legion Post No. 350 in Needville, and served as past president of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 81 in Needville. He worked at WKM in Missouri City for 38 years and was a substitute bus driver for the Needville School District. Above all, Adolph lived to love and take care of his family and grandchildren and he will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He faced so many challenges with great faith and determination. He will live on in our hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Louise Macha; and brothers, Leonard Macha and Freddie Macha.

Adolph is survived by his wife and beloved angel of 42 years, Delores Bednarek Macha of Needville; daughters: Shelly Sullivan and husband, Bill, of Needville, and Sheryl Norman and husband, Todd, of Needville; grandchildren: Zachary Sullivan of Needville, Lindsay Norman of Needville, and Sarah Norman of Needville; brothers: August Macha of Needville, Johnnie Macha and his wife, Ella, of Rosenberg, and Frank Macha of Needville; sisters-in-law, Sarah Macha of San Antonio, Sandra Wiles of Richmond, and Jeanette Krupa of Richmond; special niece, Miranda Wiles of Lafayette, La.; mother-in-law, Selma Bednarek of Needville; and many other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the nurses and aides at OakBend Skilled Nursing Center, who provided tender, loving care until the very end.
