Maurice E. Hardy

Maurice E. Hardy, 75, Wrightstown, died unexpectedly at his home at 4 o'clock this morning.

Hardy was born Jan. 28, 1881, in the town of Ellington, and was employed as a railroad agent and telegrapher. He worked in Kaukauna, Neshkora, Juneau and Wrightstown before retiring in 1946. Hardy was a Spanish-American war veteran, and his father was the first white child born in the town of Ellington.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning aat St. Paul Catholic church, Wrightstown, with burial in Holy Cross cemetery, Kaukauna.

Friends may call at the DeWane Funeral home, Wrightstown, after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Survivors include the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Neuman, Appleton; six sons, Charles, Eugene and Thomas, all of Kaukauna, Maurice, Jr., Green Bay, Jerome, Sheboygan, and William, Milwaukee; three brothers, Thomas Hardy and Edward Hardy, Appleton, and James Hardy, Beach, ND.; three sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Kohl, Appleton, Mrs. George Kronschnabel, Menasha, and Mrs. Matt Krause, Sentinel Butte, ND.; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
