He was born April 21, 1946 in Danville to Hubert and Audrey Near Mollet. He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Lee Mollet.
He married Arleen R. Miller on Dec. 9, 1964 in Westville. He is survived by one son, Ronald Mollet of Danville; two daughters, Becky Thomas of Westville and Christina (David Sr.) Billow of Westville; one sister, Judy Pate of Glendale, Arizona and three grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany.
