Bernard "Ben" Freda, age 87, Manitowoc, passed Dec. 30, 2002, at the Hamilton Home in Two Rivers, WI. Mass of Christian Burial Jan. 2, at Holy Innocent Catholic Church in Manitowoc, Rev. Gerald Foley officiating. Burial in Guardian Angel Cemetery, Stevens Point. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Manitowoc assisted.
Mr. Freda was born July 16, 1915, in Stevens Point, son of the late Frank and Esther (Mancel) Freda.
Married Clara S. Suskey on May 24, 1939, in Manitowoc.
He served in the U.S. Army from April 1945 to November 1946. Employed by the Manitowoc Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1980. A member of Holy Innocents Church in Manitowoc, AMVETS Post 99 and the Machinist's Union.
Survivors include his wife; one sister, Florence (Karl) Zdroik, Stevens Point; and one brother, George (Midge), Bensenville, IL; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Anton.
