Emma Eliza Williams, 84, died on February 4, 1972 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on September 13, 1881 in Marble. She had been a resident of Marble until 1951, when she moved to Oklahoma to live with her daughter. Her husband, Stephen Arnold Williams, died on April 2, 1926. She is survived by her daughters, Edna Elizabeth Applegate and Girtha Tennessee McConnell, both of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Lona Pearl Clem of Orange Cove, California; her sons, Grady Earl Williams and Thomas Jefferson Williams, both of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; her step-daughter, Vessie Couch; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Lower Campground Church with Rev. Noel Foster officiating. Interment was in Lower Campground Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
