JOSHUA FLOREA DEAD
Joshua Floret was born November 9, 1852, in Rush county, Indiana, and died at his home northeast of Knox City, April 4, 1931, aged 78 years, months and 23 days. He was the son of W. R. and Margaret Florea and moved to Lewis county at the age of five years, and spent the remainder of his life in the state of Missouri. On November 19, 1874, he was married to Margaret E. Dyer and to this union were born ten children, seven of whom having survived their father, while three have preceded him in death. The children who are living are: J. H. Florea and Margaret E. Richardson, of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Arthur Winfield, of Kirksville; Mrs. Lillie Goodson. Marvin N., Willis B. and Everett, of Knox City. The children who have preceded their father in death are Frank, George and Maude. He leaves to mourn his passing his aged companion, his seven children, twenty-one grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Also one brother, Hugh Florea, of Lewis county. The tribute that his companion gives to him is that he has been a true and faithful companion in their journey together across more than a half century of happy family life. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Monday afternoon by Rev. F. L. Waid, and burial was in the Knox City cemetery.
