Rena went to be with the Lord, her husband Buck, daughters Rena and Jerry, family and friends on Friday, September 10, 2010. She passed peacefully in her home with family present.

Born November 11, 1920, in Albany, Mo., Rena found her way in 1965 to Pagosa Springs, where she raised a family, owned and operated Sky View Motel and touched the hearts of many people along the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband Buck and daughters Rena Marie and Jerry Ann. She is survived by her sons Ed Goodenberger and Jim (Jacki) Goodenberger, both of Pagosa Springs; grandsons David and Ryan Goodenberger and granddaughters Jenifer Pitcher, Joyce Haynes, Jamy Gerou and Lorena Marie Rand; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren, along with many extended family and friends.

There will be a celebration of her life at her home located at 301 14th Street on Saturday the 25th of September from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Food and drink will be served.

In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.
