Age 86, died on Monday, February 23, 1998 at St. Pauls Home in Kaukauna.

She was born December 31, 1911 in Hollandtown; daughter of the late John and Nell (VanLanen) Willems. On November 23, 1954, she married Silverius Schaefer in Hollandtown.
Hilaria worked at Chilton Metal Products until her retirement and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion.

Survivors include her twin sister Malenia Baumgart, De Pere; five sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law; Marcella Tennessen, Kaukauna; Nell Appleman, De Pere; Margaret Willems, Madison; Nell Schaefer, Kaukauna; and Reuben Schaefer, Hilbert; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 16, 1993, two sisters and seven brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 1998 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion, with the Rev. Tom Long officiating.

Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Hollandtown.

Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
