Husband to Bessie Clare Wood, father of Frank M. Wood and Nicholas P. Wood. Son of John Perry Wood and Oma McCumber Wood. Veteran of WWI, served under 'Black" Jack Pershing.

He owned and operated a service station in San Francisco at the corner of Noe and 24th during the late 1920's and early 1930's.

From the San Francisco Chronicle, dated 5 Feb 1932. Surf Sweeps Fishermen off Rocks, One Drowns: Frank M. Wood, 32, 725 Elizabeth street, was drowned and his fishing companion, Louis Berg, 26, 579 Elizabeth street, narrowly escaped late yesterday when heavy breakers swept them off the rocks of Tunitas Beach into the ocean ten miles south of Half Moon Bay. Wood was married and the father of two children.
