Mr. Ault, born in Washington County, MD; was the son of the late William Jesse and Mary Myers Ault and the widower of Ruth I. Myers Ault, who he married May 16, 1940. He wa a retired custodian at National Geographic Society in Gaitherburg, MD. He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by three daughters, Delores Kauffman of Mapleville, MD; Kay Hostler of Mannings, WV; and Debbie Hoffman of Kearneysville, WV; four sons, Jerry William Ault and Jesse Leon Ault, Sr; both of Sandy Hook, MD; Donald Leslie Ault of Charles Town, WV; and Ricky Leon Ault, Sr. of Brunswick, MD; one sister, Frances Mellott of Front Royal, VA; one brother, Jesse Melvin Ault of Harpers Ferry, WV; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family received friends 7-9pm, Tuesday, June 22, 1999 at the funeral home in Harpers Ferry, WV.
The funeral services were held at 2pm, Wednesday, June 23, 1999 at the Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home Chapel, 970 Washington Street, Harpers Ferry, with the Rev. Marvin Marcus Caton, Sr. officiating.
Burial was made in Samples Manor Cemetery, Samles Manor, MD.
