James T Smith Sr., 79, died Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at his home on Garfield street Coloma. He had been a resident here 9 years, having came here with his daughter Mrs. James Pruitt and family from Tennessee.
Mr. Smith was born January 15th 1870 and Waverly Tennessee. He was a retired carpenter.
Besides the daughter, Mrs Pruitt, he is survived by 5 sons James Jr. of Benton Harbor; Taylor and George who live in Arkansas, Porter and Zilphord of Blytheville Arkansas and Cleophelus of Flint Michigan he also leaves 37 grandchildren one brother and 4 sisters his wife Sarah died 13 years ago.
The body was taken to the Davidson funeral home from there was sent today to the Cobb funeral home and Blytheville, Arkansas, where funeral services and burial will take place .
