He was born December 25, 1937, at Victoria, Kansas, the son of Peter Wasinger and wife Susan, nee Hammerschmidt.
Mr. Wasinger received his schooling at St. George Grade School and Linn High School, Linn.
He received a bachelor of arts degree and the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
He was united in marriage to Mary Parmentier.
Mr. Wasinger worked for McDonnell Douglas, St. Louis.
In 1985, he was transfered to the McDonnell Douglas Missile Plant, Titusville, Florida. He retired as a production manager.
He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Titusville, Florida; Knights of Columbus, Washington, and BPOE, Titusville, Florida.
Mr. Wasinger was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kristine; four brothers, Felix Wasinger, Wilfred Wasinger and wife Kathleen, Marion Wasinger, and Robert Wasinger; and one brother-in-law, Paul Grelle.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Parmentier-Wasinger, Titusville, Florida; one son, Kennan Thomas, Orlando, Florida; two daughters, Katherine Gifford, Liberty, and Korinne Wasinger, Largo, Florida; three stepsons, Kevin Parmentier, Port St. John, Florida, Jeff Parmentier and Keith Parmentier, both of Washington; two brothers, Emil Wasinger and Emanuel Wasinger, both of St. Louis; four sisters, Mary Wasinger, Springfield, Sr. Bernita Wasinger, Jefferson City, Bernice Voss, Linn, and Lucille Grelle, St. Louis; other relatives and many friends.
A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, December 27, at St. Agnes Cathedral Church with Rev. Thomas Kiefer officiating.
Interment was in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Washington.
Memorials to the School Sisters of Notre Dame or donor's choice are preferred.
