BLACK MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Carrie Gray, 96, of Black Mountain, died Saturday in an Asheville nursing home following a period of declining health. She was a native of Dare County.

She is survived by three sons: Blaine B. Gray of Winston-Salem, W.E. Gray of Cape Hatteras, and Kermit Gray of Mount Airy; a daughter, Carolyn Richards of Georgetown, S.C.; and two sisters: Mrs. (should be Miss) Maude O'Neal of Black Mountain and Dianna Dailey of Philadelphia, Pa.

Services were held Monday in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Burial was in Mountain View Memorial Park.
