"PIERRE, S.D. -- Ruth Abbott, 4, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Celmer Abbott, Hayes, died here today of injuries received in a farm accident.

The girl was run over by a disk on her parents' farm six miles southeast of Hayes late Monday. The accident occurred when her father let the girl off the tractor he was driving, then started up again before she moved away from in front of the disk. The implement passed over her body.
