Greenfield--Services for Scottie Ray Alexander, 40, were today at Pleasant View Church of Christ near Bradford with David Mathews officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Bradford with Hunt Funeral Home of Bradford in charge. Mr. Alexander, a former Weakley Countian and a flight instructor in Monroe, LA, was killed Saturday afternoon when his single-engine, 4-passenger Cessna airplane crashed half a mile east of the home of his brother in the Stafford Store community, a spokesman for the Weakley County Sheriff's Department said.
He was a Vietman veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.
Also surviving are his wife, Mrs Valerie Alexander of Monroe; two sons, Carl Alexander and Mark Alexander, both of Monroe; his father, Nathan Alexander of Greenfield; a sister, Miss Monda Alexander of Henderson; two other brothers, Curtis Alexander of Greenfield, and Andy Alexander of Jackson, Miss.; and his grandmother Mrs Alice Parker of Bradford.
