Theologian. Son of US Senator Frank Church (D-Idaho). Born while his father studied law at Stanford University, Forrest grew up in Boise, Idaho. Upon coming of age, he attended Stanford himself, and later studied theology at Harvard. Besides books such as "Early Christian Prayer," "Early Christian Hymns" and "God and Other Famous Liberals," he wrote a book about his father, "Father and Son: A Personal Biography of Senator Frank Church of Idaho." He died of esophageal cancer the day after his 61st birthday. In February 2009, the Heart and Soul Fund awarded its first Forrest Church Humanitarian Award to former US President Bill Clinton.
