Willard Cottingham, 71, died at his home at 302 East McKinsey street, at 1:30 o'clock yesterday morning after an illness of five months.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. J. W. Swetnam, Moberly; two grandchildren, James Swetnam, Moberly and Miss Betty Swetnam, Kansas City; a great-grandchild, James Michael Swetnam, Moberly; two brothers, Elgar Cottingham, Ray, Colo., and E. L. Cottingham, Grand Island, Neb.; and a sister, Mrs. J. E. Neagher, Los Angeles.
Mr. Cottingham was born in Randolph County where he lived most of his life. He had lived in Moberly the past five years. He was a member of the Central Christian Church.
The body was taken to the home of the daughter, Mrs. Swetnam, 516 Garfield avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Mahan's Funeral Chapel by the Rev. C. W. Cornn. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
