82, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit. He was a native of Gilbert, WV, a retired bus driver for TARC, a World War II Navy veteran, member of Gateway Community Church United Methodist, Suburban Masonic Lodge #740, American Legion Post #229, Bright Star #12 and Gateway Friendship Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rush and Myrtle Trent; and a brother, Joseph Trent. Jack is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Smith; and niece, Carolyn Trent of West Virginia. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Friday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Leitchfield, KY. Visitation: 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice, the Masonic Home and Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, Drs. Hammer and Hack for their wonderful care, also Dr. Wayne Anderson and Dr. Merrill Challman our pastors, Ronnie and Susie Blakely, Donna Harper, Larry Elder, and many more for their help and support.
