Morris Ladabaum, 82, of Brownsville, died Sunday at Valley Grande Nursing Home.

A native of Russia, he had been a Brownsville resident for 53 years. He was a member of Temple Beth El, Temple Beth El Brotherhood, Mark C. Baumoel Lodge No. 1260 B'nai B'rith and was the founder of Alamo Clothing Company in 1928 and retired in 1971. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Ladabaum in 1977.

Survivors include a son, Sammy N. Ladabaum of Brownsville; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Bijman, two grandchildren, all of Brownsville.

Funeral services will be held today at 4 pm at Darling Mouser Funeral Home Chapel with Rabbi Matthew Michaels officiating with interment at Hebrew Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Leonard, Bernie Levine, Eddie Harris, Sam Silberman, Jules Janis, and Harry Holzman.
