Beatrice Narez 1912 - 2011 Beatrice Narez peacefully passed away in her home on Drury Lane, Bakersfield, CA on Monday, June 6, 2011. She was 99 1/2 years young. As her great grandson toasted her on her 99th Birthday celebration he stated the secret to her long life was humor. She leaves behind 5 daughters, Violet Estrada, Gloria King, Virginia Benavides, Dolores Moreno, and Ester De Luna; sister, Lily Arvizu of Bear Valley Springs; brother, Manuel Landeros of San Jose; and sister, Pearl Sanchez of Bakersfield. She also leaves behind 5 generations of grandchildren. Bea brought so much joy and happiness to all that knew her. She will live forever in our hearts. Now she sits with Jesus and is reunited with our family who passed away too young. This includes her eldest son, Sonny Arvizu and brother, Pete Bernal. As per her wishes she will be laid to rest with youngest son, Leonard Alvarado who lost his life in Vietnam in 1969. The viewing will be Thursday, January 9, from 4-7 p.m. She will be laid to rest on Friday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd. All friends and family are invited to say goodbye and wish her happiness as she begins her new life in Heaven.
